THE MOON AND MARK TWAIN OVER HARTFORD IN HIS FORD ROADSTER is an 8X6 print adapted from one of my paintings. Someone won the original painting in a charity auction. It hangs somewhere in Hartford, I think.
Don’t know my autos, but the car might be a 1929 Ford Roadster. Twain was dead by then so I own up to putting him in the driver’s seat. And the moon is heart-shaped because why not.
The image was made with a found b&w photo, a Ford car ad, and an early postcard of the capital city where Twain lived next door to Harriet Beecher Stowe. He wrote the oft banned, scabrous novel about Huck Finn there.
