DOT DOT DOT
DOT DOT DOT is an 8X6 limited edition signed print. It was made adapting a found b&w vintage photo booth pix of Dot, a beguiling young woman in a cloche. Maybe during the Depression? I colorized and mounted it on a polk- dotted background. The identifying name is written in ink clearly from a fountain pen. (Oh youth! You should’ve lived before ballpoint pens or having to sign on some tablet with your fingertip. But I digress.) An ellipsis ( ... ) has 3 evenly-spaced periods or dots. It indicates words left out, or an incomplete thought. Whatever thoughts Dot had are up for discussion. To me, there is resignation in her face and body language. A thought unspoken… A sadness, perhaps.
