STILL LIFE WITH FRUIT AND HERMAPHRODITE
Found black & white late 19th century photo of a French nude dressed as a male on one side and female on the other. It was blown up, cut out, colored (paint pen, markers, ink pen) and mounted on repurposed pamphlet called "FRUITS THAT GRANDFATHER DID NOT KNOW WHEN A BOY." It was painted and then glued to the cover of an 1894 seed catalog from Rogers Nursery Co. in Moorestown N.J. Isaac C. Rogers Manager. It was enhanced with markers etc. NOTE: fruits we are now very familiar with were considered "new" in the early 20th century.
